The Mosque–Cathedral of Córdoba (The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption). The cathedral of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Córdoba, Andalucia, Spain. Islamic and Gothic architecture dating back to 785 AD. The Great Mosque of Córdoba (or Mezquita de Córdoba) is an important monument in the history of Islamic architecture and is considered by many to have been influential on the 'Moorish' architecture of the western Mediterranean regions of the Muslim world.
